service arm of the New Zealand Association of Radio Transmitters (NZART).<\/span> <span class=\"relative -mx-px my-[-0.2rem] rounded px-px py-[0.2rem] transition-colors duration-100 ease-in-out\">Established in 1932 following the Napier earthquake, AREC has been instrumental in providing reliable communication services during emergencies across New duration-100 ease-in-out\">AREC operates as a national volunteer, not-for-profit, registered charity with 47 groups and approximately 375 volunteers across New Zealand.<\/span> <span class=\"relative -mx-px my-[-0.2rem] rounded px-px py-[0.2rem] transition-colors duration-100 ease-in-out\">These groups are coordinated by Section Leaders who report to Area Managers, ensuring a structured and efficient response during emergencies.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"\" data-start=\"864\" data-end=\"893\">Services and Capabilities<\/h3>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"895\" data-end=\"980\"><span
