About the Marlborough Amateur Radio Club (MARC)
Our Mission
The Marlborough Amateur Radio Club (MARC), operating under the call sign ZL2KS, is dedicated to fostering the art and science of amateur radio in the Marlborough region of New Zealand. As Branch 22 of the New Zealand Association of Radio Transmitters (NZART), we aim to promote technical knowledge, communication skills, and community service among our members.
Club History
Established on November 16, 1932, MARC has a rich history spanning over 90 years. Our club has been instrumental in various community services, including providing communication support for local events and emergency situations. Notably, we have participated in events such as the Marlborough Wine and Food Festival and the Marlborough GrapeRide. Additionally, our involvement in the Amateur Radio Emergency Corps (AREC) has enhanced our disaster response capabilities.
